I began sewing at about the age of 10, when I discovered my mother's sewing machine that she had never used. I began teaching myself to sew my own clothes. Within a couple of years I was sewing for my friends, making prom dresses, rompers, costumes and more.
Through out my life I have loved sewing for my children, grandchildren, creating crafts, decorating my homes, and being a sewing specialist for Days For Girls Intl.
I have always been involved with service, It is the core of who I am! For 15 years I worked with an organization called 'Christmas Wish'! We provided Christmas for families that weren't able to provide gifts for their children. It was one of the most rewarding experiences I have ever had. Today I am involved with such an incredible organization called 'Days For Girls'. We have the opportunity to sew feminine hygiene kits for women and girls around the world who have no access to feminine hygiene products. We are giving them back over 2000 days in their lifetime! Ask me how!
Our sewing students will have the opportunity of sewing items such as baby blankets, baby hats, masks for sick children, cloth animals and dolls and many other fun things for children in need!
If you would like to be a part of this incredible Days For Girls organization just let me know!
